THE ISSAM FARES INSTITUTE FOR PUBLIC POLICY AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
The Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI) hosted an event talk titled "Conflict Urbanism" with Dr. Laura Kurgan, Associate Professor of Architecture at the Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation, and Director of the Center for Spatial Research at Columbia University on October 14th. Conflict Urbanism is a term that does not only refer to conflicts that emerge in cities, but designates conflict as a structuring principle of cities, as a way of inhabiting and creating multiple components of urban space, and even conflicting urbanisms.
