Reframing the Narrative on Palestine in the West

In this talk, Nadia Hijab examined the different actors involved in the efforts to frame/re-frame the narrative on Palestine in the West. While the battle for control of the narrative has marked the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for the past century, there is an increased urgency at the present time. Israel is clearly determined to use the Trump Administration to legalize its occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Golan Heights, leaving Gaza to its fate, and has been pouring untold millions into dominating the discourse as part of these plans. What strategies are Palestinian civil society and their allies in the US and Europe using to counter these moves? What role is there for public policy institutions?
